Co-marketing does not have to be difficult or expensive to be effective. You can approach a similar-sized brand in another industry and pitch them on the project. You can start with a few tweets and work your way up to developing marketing collateral.
11. Search for and monitor your competitors’ backlinks
Look for opportunities to obtain similar links. This is a great way to quickly find high-value link opportunities. Conduct competitor research on a weekly or monthly basis to identify new opportunities that can be capitalized on while they are still fresh.
To obtain a list of backlinks for one of your competitors, use a link analysis tool such as Ahrefs, Majestic, or Moz’s Link Explorer. Then, investigate which types of posts are gaining backlinks and benefiting from off-page SEO.
For example, if one of your competitors is writing guest posts for specific publications, those publications are likely to be interested in guest posts from you on similar topics.
